The Calm Between Storms

Thankfully, we are home...if only for a few days.

We went camping, then straight to Mom and Dad's to meet family from Austria (Hosiners), then straight to Jeff and Vernetta's for a few days. We enjoyed our Arkansas trip. Corwin swam in Aunt Nece's pool every day. He is really getting good at swimming and holding his breath underwater. Anyway, now we are back home to launder our clothes and prepare to leave again on Saturday. Ugh. Thus is every July for the Morris bunch.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Herald Hosiner (Dad's distant cousin), his daughter Stefanie, her husband Jurgen, their children Martelina and Paul, and their friend Eva Maria. They are Hosiners from Austria who live in the same place where my Great-great Grandfather George and Great-great-great Grandfather Michael came to America from. What a unique opportunity to meet distant family. They were a joy to meet and visit with. Their English was very good and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Owen cut his two upper teeth this past weekend. He is cranky and doesn't feel good. Imagine that. Poor guy.

We leave Saturday for a week at Tablerock Lake with my Mom's side of the family. We'll be camping in out tent, while everyone else has a nice air conditioned trailer. Fortunately, the weather looks mild. Be sure to tune in the first of August for a report.

Summer is almost over for Jason. It's hard to believe it went so quickly!
